What it is
The floating chair scene is a dreamy overhead shot: an empty wood-paneled office with a green carpet, a chrome-legged swivel chair that tips back and floats slightly above the floor, and one ceiling light. The camera looks straight down while the chair slowly turns and the person leans back with their arms out.
It is an AI remake of the chair shot from the 2024 music video for Birds of a Feather. Searches split between birds of a feather AI, floating chair AI, zero-gravity chair effect and spinning chair trend; they all describe the same office-chair composition.
The original video is enormous — competitor pages cited roughly 990 million YouTube plays for the September 2024 release when checked on October 30–31, 2026 — but template interest only started in late October 2026. This page is an unofficial, fan-made remake: no affiliation with the artist or label, no original song, and no celebrity likeness.
How to play it
Upload one clear front-facing photo. A half-body shot with shoulders and arms visible gives the floating pose more to work with. A plain background is fine because the template replaces it with the green-carpet office.
Lean into the stillness. The scene is slow and dreamy, not a dance. Keep a relaxed expression, let the arms fall open and let the chair do the motion. For two people, generate one clip per person with the same template and stitch them.
Add the sound in the app. The generated clip is silent and contains no part of the original track, so pick the audio inside TikTok, Reels or Shorts. Label the clip as AI-made and keep the caption short.
Three steps to make it
1. Upload one photo
A clear front-facing photo with shoulders and arms visible. JPG, PNG and WebP up to 10 MB are supported.
2. Generate the floating chair
Pick Floating Chair and tap Generate. It costs 10 credits and renders a 10–15 second 9:16 office scene with the floating chair and overhead turn.
3. Add your own sound and post
Download the MP4, choose the audio in TikTok, Reels or Shorts, and label the clip as AI-made. The original track is not included.
Example
A common version is a single creator in a plain T-shirt and jeans. The chair tips back, the camera looks straight down, and the clip ends before the turn completes. The caption is usually a lyric reference or a one-line joke about floating through the week.
Two-person versions are made by generating the same template twice and placing the clips side by side. Creators also use it as a soft launch or a birthday post because the scene is calm rather than chaotic.
